Servais n\u2019a pas \u00e9dit\u00e9 ces innovations. Il les a transmises \u00e0 ses \u00e9l\u00e8ves qui ont influenc\u00e9 \u00e0 leur tour, les g\u00e9n\u00e9rations suivantes. De jeunes violoncellistes originaires de l\u2019Europa enti\u00e8re vinrent \u00e0 Bruxelles afin d\u2019y \u00e9tudier avec Servais. Parmi eux se distinguent H\u00e9l\u00e8ne De Katow, Adam Heermann, Antoine Oudshoorn et Arved Poorten. Citons aussi les \u00e9l\u00e8ves belges, Jules de Swert, Adolphe Fischer, Ernest de Munck et son propre fils, Joseph Servais. Il a \u00e9galement utilis\u00e9 ces innovations techniques dans ses Six Caprices opus 11.
